Faculty of Science
Physical Society-Split was founded on January 14, 1998 in Split and has a status of a public legal body. It is registered as a public organization at the Ministry of Justice, Administration and Local Self-Administration of the Republic of Croatia.
Members of the society are physicists of various profiles from the Split-Dalmatian County: university professors and assistants, scientists, elementary- and high-school physics teachers, persons of other professions involved with physics, and students.
The Society has an aim of promoting and developing scientific, upbringing, educational and cultural activity in the field of physics and related fields of science. The main tasks of the Society are therefore
These activities are being carried out in meetings, seminars, by forming divisions, publishing, activities with talented pupils (competitions), in cooperation with other societies and institutions and especially with school teachers of physics.
The Society has five divisions by which the specified activities are being carried out.
Governing activities are being performed by the governing bodies of the Society.
